Our high plateau consists of three villages: Serfaus, Fiss and Ladis. Let's start with our home, Fiss. If you "google" Fiss, you get thousands of entries and most of them are about holidays, family, Tyrol, skiing holidays, ski resorts, hiking holidays and the like - and rightly so, we think.

Fiss

Fiss lies in the middle of a sunny plateau near Landeck, 500 metres above the valley floor at 1,436m above sea level, between Serfaus and Ladis. 37.7 km² in size, 1,007 inhabitants live here - just under 25 Fiss residents per km² of Fiss, from which it can be concluded: Fiss is a mountain village, quiet, tranquil and sunny and so wonderfully familiar. Despite all the upswing in recent years, the many new family hotels and attractions for holidays in summer, autumn and winter, Fiss has remained a village at heart.

Of course Fiss in winter is mentioned in the same breath as Tyrol's ski dimension Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis.
Tyrol's ski dimension is called Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis and not Serfaus Ladis. And just as Fiss is in the middle of the name, it is the central part, the hub of the ski area: thanks to modern mountain lifts, perfectly connected to the piste network, there are some special features for skiing holidays with the family right in Fiss.

Our house is located on the upper edge of Fiss, directly on the ski slope, less than 100 metres from the practice lift. In recent years, our Laurentius has developed into a popular stronghold for skiers and snowboarders.
